Week 6: History of Earth

    1. I was not in lab, I went home for a family emergency. Emailed Alexis
  2. What did you learn in Thursday's discussion?
    1. Took exam.
  3. Read the online textbook, Chapter 6:
    1. What did you learn?
      1. I learned that snowball earth events are periods when Earth was nearly completely covered in ice. Positive feeback loops such as ice reflecting sunlight to further cool the planet occured during there periods.
    2. What was most helpful?
      1. The timeline of Earth's history was the most helpful to me as it puts in perspective humans are in comparion to the entire span of Earth's existence.
    3. What do you need more information on?
      1. I would like more information on how scientists determine the age of ancient rocks and fossils.
  4. What questions, concerns, and/ or comments do you have?
    1. None.
